Criminal Defense Attorney Navid Alband talks about the DWI process and how an attorney could assist you.
In Texas, there’s two sides to every DWI. ALR which stands for Administrative License Revocation and the criminal side of things. At The Alband Law Firm, we represent clients in both areas. The ALR side deals only with the issue of a license suspension because of a failed breath or blood test or because of the refusal to take a breath or blood test. There is only 15 days from the date of arrest to appeal a decision to suspend a license in the administrative side, so it is critical that if you have been arrested for a DWI, you contact an attorney and they appeal the decision to suspend your license within that 15 days.
On the other hand, the criminal side of things takes longer, that’s when you actually go into court and you deal with the issue of whether or not you’ll be found guilty or not guilty of the offensive DWI. And at the Alband Law Firm, we pride ourselves of knowing both of the issues on either side of the aisle - the ALR side and the criminal law side, and we’d be happy to sit down with you and see if there’s anything we can do to help you with your case. |
