Kidnapping Cases

Intentionally or knowingly abducting another person describes the act of kidnapping under Texas Penal Code Section 20.03. Have you been accused of kidnapping? Are you currently under investigation by law enforcement for an offense of this nature? You must move quickly to involve a lawyer who can aggressively assert your rights under the U.S. Constitution. Delaying in working with a lawyer or attempting to cooperate with the police may only lead to unintentional self-incrimination or other negative consequences. An attorney who is experienced in handling these types of cases can guide you in the right direction.

At Alband, Lane & Balderama, we have the experience to handle complex kidnapping cases. We represent defendants in the Fort Worth area in the face of even the most serious and complex felony cases. Our founding attorney is a former prosecutor, and as such he understands both sides of the legal system. He can use his diverse knowledge to build insightful and effective defense strategies that target the particular weaknesses he is able to identify in the prosecuting attorney's case.

About Kidnapping Charges & Penalties

Kidnapping is a felony of the third degree, punishable by 2 to 10 years in state prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000. In some circumstances, a defendant may face aggravated kidnapping charges and up to 20 or even 99 years in prison.
