Alband, Lane & Balderama is proud to announce that Attorney Navid Alband has been elected to the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. The organization is exclusive to attorneys who have demonstrated commitment to the Texas criminal justice system and continue to contribute to the legal profession.
Election into the Fellows of the Foundation is a prestigious honor. Every year, only one-third of one percent of State Bar members are invited to join the ranks. To do so, prospective fellows must be vetted and elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. Founded in 1965, the Foundation has grown from an original 225 Charter Fellows to more than 8,500 members throughout Texas.
It is the mission of the Texas Bar Foundation to use its financial contributions to further justice-related causes all over Texas. Since its founding, the organization has bestowed more than $16 million to these programs, furthering the resources available to organizations such as:
- Human Rights Initiative of North Texas, Inc.
- The Women's Center of Tarrant County
- Alliance for Children
- Community in Schools of the Coastal Bend
- Texas Advocacy Project, Inc.
- Texas Center for the Judiciary, Inc.
- Children at Risk
- Matagorda County Women's Center Crisis Center
This is not the first time Attorney Navid Alband has been industry-recognized for his work in the criminal defense arena. A former prosecutor, he has been named in both the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers list and the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 list. He maintains memberships with the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, among others.
We congratulate Attorney Alband on yet another industry honor and know that his continued legal prowess and advocacy on behalf of his clients will only further distinguish our firm in 2016 and beyond.
